Did You Know Authentic Recipes Are at Our Heart?

Did You Know Authentic Recipes Are at Our Heart?

Delicious food is what we know, what we do, and what we love at The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. We want our customers—who we think of as family—to have equally great memories of eating fresh, homemade food with their families, so we make a point of serving memorable meals in a great atmosphere.

Our recipes have been passed down generation after generation, capturing the authenticity of Greek food, and our dining rooms portray the welcoming spirit of Mediterranean hospitality. At The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, you’ll feel at home with our delicious food, friendly staff, unique table service, and bright, cheerful atmosphere.

Mediterranean food is a major winner both in terms of being delicious and healthy. Our food features big, bold flavors and healthy ingredients that make it deliciously easy to enjoy. The Mediterranean diet has spent years growing in popularity and has been named the No. 1 diet for health for the fifth year in a row.

Consumers across the country are flocking to Greek restaurants for fast-casual options where they can enjoy rich olive oil, whole grains, lean proteins, tomatoes, and fresh vegetables, as well as spices like cardamom, mint, and sumac. Diners love the great taste and healthy options Mediterranean cuisine offers, and they especially love the delicious selections at The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. The popularity of our fresh, made-from-scratch food, healthy options, and dining experience are all ingredients in our recipe for success.

Where Does Our Story Begin?

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill was founded in 2011. Originally owned and operated by a culinary-trained Greek/Armenian family, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill was purchased by Nick Della Penna and Trent Jones, who took it to a whole new level of success.

While Nick and Trent made operational changes to the restaurant to enhance its performance, one thing that hasn’t changed is our authentic, third-generation Greek family recipes. We grew up on Sunday dinners with a huge, extended family. The delicious food we shared is what we know, what we do, and what we love, and it’s what drives us to make equally memorable meals for our customers.

Nick and Trent connected with United Franchise Group (UFG), a partnership that precipitated introducing The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill to even more investors and hungry customers. Since that time, we’ve been adding additional locations and furthering our territorial footprint.

What is Our Mission?

At The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, our food is what anchors our business. By using only the freshest ingredients, we ensure consistently high-quality Greek food. We don’t compromise on our commitment to quality, ever. We use only the highest quality ingredients for our sauces, soups, dressings, marinades, and desserts, which are made from scratch daily. Our food is as fresh as you can get, meaning we take the time to chop, slice, and trim all of our ingredients each and every day.

Our philosophy is simple: we want our customers to feel like they’re at our yiayia’s house enjoying one of our family’s traditional Sunday dinners. It’s become our Great Greek Pledge for The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill to treat all patrons like family, serving consistently delicious food that exceeds their expectations. We take the time to pay close attention to every dish we prepare, serving memorable meals in a great atmosphere. We extend our dedication to our customers through community alliances. We’re involved in UFG Cares, where we not only give back financially but through active participation in our local communities. We’re also purposefully involved in Place of Hope, a faith-based, state-licensed organization that offers housing and support services to children, youth, and families in need.

We keep the tradition of great Greek food going every day, making meals with care and love. We’ll continue to pass down our recipes from generation to generation, prepared with the spirit of authentic Mediterranean hospitality. While we’ve made the dining room a little bigger to fit more guests, your customers will always feel right at home with our smiling faces, table service, and cheerful ambiance.

3 Common Restaurant Franchise Problems And How We Solve Them

When it comes to owning a business, there are a lot of options out there. You can start your own business from scratch, buy an existing business, or invest in a franchise. So, what’s the difference between starting your own business and buying a franchise? One big difference is that when you buy a franchise, you’re buying into an already-established business model. You’re getting the benefits of a brand that’s already been successful, as well as the support of the franchisor. Additionally, buying a fast casual franchise can be a great way to reduce your risk, as franchises have a higher success rate than independent businesses. However, as rosy as it sounds, owning a franchise isn’t without its own set of challenges. At The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, we understand the challenges of owning a restaurant franchise. That’s why we’ve developed a system that helps franchisees overcome the following common problems.

1. Food Waste

Did you know that 40% of the food produced in the United States is never eaten? That’s a lot of wasted money, resources, and time. And while there are many reasons for this problem, restaurants are one of the biggest contributors to food waste. Restaurants in the United States waste an estimated $100 billion worth of food each year. That’s a lot of money that could be saved by implementing better food waste prevention strategies. At The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, we’ve developed many systems and protocols to help prevent food waste. Here are some of the ways that we help prevent food waste:

i) Comprehensive training program

Our comprehensive training program helps ensure that all our ƒcompreemployees are familiar with proper food handling procedures. This helps reduce the risk of foodborne illness and also helps to reduce the amount of food waste.

ii)Tracking usage

We track the usage of all our ingredients to make sure we’re not over-ordering supplies. This helps us prevent waste due to spoilage or excess inventory. As an added advantage, this helps us lock in lower prices on supplies that we can pass on to our franchisees.

iii) We require 24-hr notice on our catering service
To serve the freshest food possible, we require our catering customers to give us 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to plan ahead and ensure that we have the ingredients on hand to prepare your order.

2. Customer Service

As any business owner will tell you, customer service is key to a successful business. Unfortunately, many restaurants struggle with providing excellent customer service. This can be due to many factors, such as poor training, disgruntled employees, or a lack of customer service skills. At The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, we believe that providing excellent customer service is essential to a successful business. Here are some of the ways that we help our franchisees provide excellent customer service:

-We offer a homely atmosphere

Our restaurants are designed to create a homely atmosphere that will make customers feel welcome and comfortable. This helps to encourage them to stay longer and spend more money.

-We are open 24/7

Our locations are open 24/7 so that customers can always get the food they want when they want it. This helps to keep our restaurants busy and encourages customers to return.

-Our corporate support center is available 24/7

We have a corporate support center that is available 24/7 to help our franchisees with any customer service issues they may experience. This helps to ensure that any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

-We have made hospitality a part of our culture

Hospitality is an essential part of our culture at The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. From the moment customers walk through our door, we want them to feel welcome and appreciated. This hospitality extends to every aspect of our business, from the food we serve to the way we treat our employees.

-We offer training and support
We offer training and support to our franchisees so that they can learn the skills necessary to provide excellent customer service. We also provide regular updates on best practices so that our franchisees can stay up-to-date on the latest trends in customer service.

3.Brand Awareness

One of the biggest challenges facing any restaurant franchise is building brand awareness. Many customers are unaware of the existence of restaurant franchises, and even fewer are familiar with the individual brands. At The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, we believe that brand awareness is key to success. Here are some of the ways that we help our franchisees build brand awareness:
-We have a comprehensive marketing plan
Our marketing plan is designed to reach as many potential customers as possible. We use various methods, including online advertising, print advertising, and word-of-mouth marketing, to promote our brand.
-We provide branding materials
We provide our franchisees with various branding materials, including signage, menus, and marketing collateral. This helps them to promote our brand wherever they go.
-We have a strong social media presence
We have a strong social media presence, which helps us reach potential customers who are not reached by traditional marketing methods. We use a variety of social media platforms, including Facebook, to promote our brand.
-Branded uniforms
At The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, we believe that branded uniforms are essential for building brand awareness. That’s why we provide our franchisees with various branded uniforms, including t-shirts, hats, and aprons. This helps potential customers immediately identify your employees as part of your organization.
Getting into the restaurant business can be a challenging but rewarding experience. At The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, we believe in providing our franchisees with the tools they need to be successful. We offer several systems that help our franchisees provide excellent customer service, build brand awareness, and increase profits.
